In Volume two, we asked Sam Divine, Doorly, Carlo Lio, Fred Everything, Mihalis Safras, Anane Vega to dish the dirt..

Sam Divine

1. Where are you flying in from and are you ready for the madness?

I’m flying in From New York! Defected are hosting a party at House Of Yes then flying directly to Miami, playing at Heart as soon as we touch down. Looking forward to meeting up with the Traxsouce crew for some madness :)

2. Where do you like to eat when you’re here, any favourite spots?

I haven’t been to Miami since 2010. The last time I was at WMC I don’t remember eating for the whole week, I do remember having a lovely Chicken Ceaser salad at the Shelbourne where we were staying but apart from that I guess this is the year to check out some hot spots.

3. What’s the best venue(s) in Miami, where do you like to throw down some moves?

The last time I was in Miami I played at Set. About 5 minutes into my set one of the big vases with a candle in fell off the wall behind the decks and landed on my head. It was like something out of cartoon , a massive lump appeared within seconds and knocked me off my feet. After about 15 minutes I came round and played my set till the end but I definitely think I had concussion for a couple of days as I couldn’t get out of bed the next day. It wasn’t funny at the time but now I can laugh about it now. I definitely ‘threw’ it down at Set.

4. Where can we catch you playing during Miami and who are you looking forward to seeing?

As I said before, heart which I’m really looking forward to and I’m joining the DJ Mag team for their pool party. I love hanging out with those guys and its a really good line up so I’ll definitely be partying a little bit there

5. What’s your favourite thing about Miami?

I love the vibe of Miami! I remember one year we were out for WMC but we arrived a day early and there was a car conference happening. It was like something out of a film set or a snoop dog video! Drag racing up and down south beach and seeing all these pimped out cars on hydraulics was pretty cool and I saw a completely different side to Miami.

6. What’s your favourite classic miami track and what tracks do you predict are gonna be big in Miami this year!?

Jamie Lewis – Its Over and Brian Tappert – The Organ Track
In the UK we had a lot of big tracks that came after Ibiza so those tracks are still big but fizzling out. I don’t go out enough anymore to hear what the kids are going mad to, it’s gone a bit too tech house for me at the moment, I’d like to see a vocal track come through . I plan on hitting a few parties so hopefully I can get some inspiration and feel whats its like from the other side of the dance floor. Miami is homework.

Doorly

4. Where can we catch you playing during Miami and who are you looking forward to seeing?

I’ll be doing my annual Doorly & Friends party this year at the ridiculously pimp 1 Hotel rooftop on south beach where I’ll be joined by Skream, soul Clap, Darius Syrossian, Solardo and a very special surprise guest to close out the party who’s my favourite DJ right now! That’s on the 21st. 22nd I’ll be playing at the commonwealth and then I’ll be back on the 26th to play at Green velvet’s Cajual Vs Relief Showcase at Trade. Fun week ahead!

5. What’s your favourite thing about Miami?

That beach, the miles and miles and miles of it and it’s a good one! also the fact that its such a party city all year round but not too spread out so easy to enjoy.
