Lauer & Canard - 5 Trax That Changed Our Lives

Lauer Krisztian and Kasa Balazs (aka Lauer & Canard) first appeared on the scene together in 2007. Both are based in Hungary, Budapest & DJ regularly in Austria, Slovakia, Netherlands etc. Their collaborative productions have found home at labels such as PornoStar, LIP, Purple Music, Toolroom, Peppermint Jam, Nervous, Tactical, Seamless and Nocturnal over their career.

“It was so hard to select only five tracks that changed both of our lives because we have so many all time favourites” Lauer & Canard

1) Pete Heller – Big Love

We are first heard this on Danny Rampling’s radio show and it was so hard to find the vinyl. We have played many times. Our favorite was Dronez Dub mix.

2) Armand Van Helden ft Duane Harden – You Don’t Know Me

Armand Van Helden is our big idol. So many producers made a Carrie Lucas theme, but it was him who made the best from this with Duane Harden brilliant vocal.

3) DJ Sneak – You Can’t Hide From Your Bud

One of our treasured vinyls. REAL Chicago beats. I remember when i first heard this at an after party, i ran to the DJ to find out what track was :) Derrick Carter remix is brilliant.

4) Disco Elements Vol 4 – Muzik Takes Me Higher

Our fourth favorite track was played by PornoStar label honcho Tommyboy. We first heard this from an Azuli Records release (1994). We had to wait a long time before we could order a copy from the UK also this track was an inspiration for our track ‘Looks Like Love’.

5) Lovebeads – This Is The Only Way

Our opinion this is ProgCitys best label release. We love all mixes but for us the Mousse T remix is the one as he made very good use of the George Benson’s theme.
