Our label spotlight this week focuses on Dosem’s exciting label project – Houstrike. A passion project and predominantly an outlet for his own productions, Houstrike represents a source of unrestricted creativity, not confined by traditional label constraints and a new well of forward-thinking electronic music. Global Diplomacy Productions receives our label spotlight this week! Global Diplomacy is Baltimore-based DJ / producer N’Dinga Gaba’s own imprint and plays host to some of the freshest Afro talent around, including Janice B, Groove Cartell and Kerri Chandler-approved Troy Denari.
Midnight Riot have built up a cult following over the years, with their ever-popular discography consisting of themed compilations, Disco edits and originals. The likes of Late Nite Tuff Guy, Ron Basejam, Kiko Navarro, Judge Funk, Seamus Haji, Yam Who?, Joutro Mundo and more feature heavily in the Funky, Balearic, Disco goodness and we’re happy to hand them a Label Spotlight this week.
For this week’s label spotlight, we focus in on Moulton Music. Over the years, the imprint has been responsible for a quality musical output, spanning soulful, deep and Jackin’ productions that reflect the old sensibilities of House as a genre, yet encourage and nourish a new era of producers and DJs. He had a chance to talk with the label’s head Homero Espinosa about the past, present, and future of the label.
Still in it’s formative years, Sense Traxx began as a club brand in 2012 and has quickly garnered support from all the right places. Over the past couple of years, the imprint has picked up tracks from huge players in the UK dance scene, from Illyus & Barrientos to The Golden Boy and has been instrumental in breaking the careers of artists including TIMANTI, Apres, Riton, Bearcubs and Kokiri.
