1. Jamie Lewis feat.Michael Watford – For You
This record was recorded in 1998 after 1 year of Purple Musics birth. We released a demo mix as one sided vinyl white label at that time and after 2 months we released a full package with remixes by Boris Dlugosch & Michael Lange then after 2 years Sandy Rivera signed the record for his deep vision imprint with new remixes so the record was fresh every year for the market via different labels. ‘FOR YOU’ covered every angle and that was a great marketing & promotion. ‘FOR YOU’ is not finished with yet as soon we’re going to release an allstar remix package with about 15 remixes on the project ‘PURPLE MUSIC CLASSICS REMIXED & REMASTERED vol.2’
2. Michelle Weeks – The Light (produced by Jamie Lewis)
With THE LIGHT we released this song after 9/11 when the world was worried and shocked of what happened in New York. This song has such an immense spiritual message and with the amazing voice and sound combination this record dropped maybe at the perfect time without planning it in advance. THE LIGHT was one of the records at WMC 2002 Conference, everybody supported and played it and has been released world wide on different labels such as Soulfuric & Defected. The record is still in demand today.
3. Fantastic Plastic Machine – Love is Psychedelic
This was one of our 1st licensed records from another label and we released it just before Christmas. Usually releasing before Christmas is not really perfect but with this title we had re-orders every day also during Christmas and I remember very well that we had shipped out the record on vacation days, it was just crazy.
4. Jamie Lewis & Dj Pippi feat.Kim Cooper – So Sexy
‘So Sexy’ was the most successful release from a commercial point of view. from the day of its release this record was played every where, clubs & radio and topped many charts. Its one of our all time classics that will be soon remixed.
5. Cerrone – Hooked On You (Jamie Lewis Remixes)
A collaboration with the king of disco Cerrone. It was already a huge classic and its not easy to re-release a great record but we did it & gave the song the purple touch. It was a huge success for Purple Music after 20 years of life and this was the start of a long collaboration with Cerrone with many more releases such as ‘YOU ARE THE ONE’ & ‘TATTOO WOMAN’ More is on the way
