They say that strength comes in numbers – and two is certainly mighty when it comes to dynamic duo Him_self_Her. Hailing from Leicester in the UK, the astute combination of Claire and Leon came together after honing individual skills for many years on their local scene. All that it took was one studio session to realise the potency of their union; and what a union it is. Infusing all genres of underground house, from deep grooves, to driving tech – right through to disco enhanced techno, they love to play with bold house vocals, be it through well sourced samples or self penned hits.

We reside in… Leicester, in the middle of the UK. We were both born and raised here.

Our Dj Set-up is… four decks, two mixers combining Traktor with CDJs. Never synched!

We wish up-coming DJ’s would… Learn to do a proper warm up set.

One of our rants is… that people don’t understand what style we actually play.

Our favourite food is… Prawn Cocktails!

If we weren’t DJs, we’d be… Miserable.

Our record label is… Toolroom / Crosstown Rebels / Suara!

Our favourite gig this year was… South in Manchester with Clive Henry. We always love playing in Manchester and South is one of our favourite venues.

We’d love to work with… Claire – Bonobo, Leon – Maceo Plex.

Our track of the moment is… Him_Self_Her – Follow Me Now ft. Polly. A new one from us, it’s not signed yet but has been massive in our sets lately.
