Loopmasters – Synth Explorer – SH101

Welcome to the second in a brand new series of royalty free loops and one shot samples that pay tribute to the legendry synthesisers and drum machines that have inspired generations of electronic music producers from the early electronic revolution right up to the current day. Volume 2 of the Synth Explorer collection is the classic Roland SH101. Produced in 1983 the SH101 was one solid Monophonic synth, capable of huge fat basses and squelchy resonant SFX but its super-fast envelope makes for awesome analogue percussion making it perfect for producers of Techno, Drum n Bass and Acid!

The SH101 is a relatively simple 1 VCO analogue monosynth but deserves its place in the Hall of Fame, highlights include a self-resonating filter, Pulse width Modulation, Variable Speed LFO with selectable Wave Shapes, Arpeggio, Simple Sequencer and a user upgradable Modulation Grip and Shoulder strap for anyone brave or crazy enough to jump around on stage with one strapped around their neck. This edition of Vintage Explorer sees a wealth of loop and one shot samples covering a wide range of sounds perfect for Techno, Dubstep, Drum & Bass or even Experimental Electronica. The collection features an inspiring range of sequencer and arp loops at 140 and 175BPM and one shot sounds that have been sourced directly from a real SH101 with varying degrees of additional processing including Heavy Distortion, Phaser, Delay, Reverb and Flanger.

CLASSIC SAMPLE PACK OF THE WEEK (2010)

Oldskool House Piano

Original Released: November 2010

*Please note the collection contains only the piano loops, not the drums, fx etc from the demo.

Almost 100 expertly played and recorded authentic sounding house piano loops..The debut collection from Tonic Audio pays tribute to that classic house piano sound that we all know and love.

This uplifting pack contains 98 authentic loops in industry standard 24bit WAV format, each with tempo and key information included, ready for you to drop into your productions. There are also several glitched out and mashed up FX versions, a perfect sonic ingredient for more wonky or experimental styles. There are even a few recreated classic riffs to give that instant familiarity. As all of these are completely replayed you can set about remixing that classic as if you had the original piano parts!

The piano loops were recorded using Korg’s legendary M1 synthesizer, (‘the’ quintessential classic piano sound heard on all those tracks) and mastered using high end Apogee converters and Pro Tools TDM for crystal clear sound quality.
