Different Attitudes In 5 Records
Different Attitudes is part of Something Different Music Group, which sees owners Jesus Pablo and Rob Mayman own not 1 label, but 4!! This week they’re very excited to have turned 2 years old, with celebrating another year. They’ve both sat down and listened back over the labels releases and picked out 5 tracks which have had an impact in their journey so far.
“Caught Up In This House EP” available now on Traxsource.
1. DreamAwaken feat. Katherine Vallin – Erotique (Original Mix)
This was our first release. I suppose your first release always has a special place in your heart. When we signed this and first did the promo mail out there was a buzz about the track before we’d even launched, we never knew why until we seen that ‘dreamAwaken’ was signed to Maceo Plex’s Ellum. Not a bad start.
2. Justin Harris – Beta Blockered (Original Mix)
We’ve both been fans of Justin for years, talented isn’t the word!! If you listen to everything he does, its so timeless, effortless and so well produced. This was a BIG signing for us at the time as we’d still not found our feet as a label and we think Justin’s straight up house grooves gained us a few fans.
3. 4BeatClub feat. Daniel Roe – Proof Of Love (Original Mix)
This was our first Traxsource Deep House Top 10, peaking only at the #10 spot, but we felt it should have done so much more. This is in our opinion, is a timeless vocal summer anthem in the making, but they say labels are bias towards there own music, so go listen and judge for yourself.
4. Skeleton Army – Morning Glory (Original Mix)
Just when you think you’ve heard the best of Skeleton Army, he just gives another EP that exceeds the last. The man oozes of quality. This was his follow up on Different Attitudes, plus his debut on Something Different Records spent 13 weeks and peaked at #8 in the Traxsource Deep House Top 100. His other fans other than ourselves and his dog Albie, include Mr. V, Full Intention, Jamie Lewis and more.
5. Human Mode – Delusions Of Grandeur (Original Mix)
We love breaking new names on our labels and giving these brothers their break was an easy choice. Tipping to the more disco sounds of the house spectrum, this was a track that made the EP, plus made us think more openly to bring more ‘Nu Disco’ sounds to the label, which for us, has been warmed by our fans as well. We are looking forward to their follow up EP later this year.
