1) Firstly, thanks for taking the time out to chat with us. Tell us where you are and how you are feeling right now.

I´m sitting at the arrival of the Munich airport, drinking coffee and waiting for my delayed driver to arrive.

2) Where does your artist name emanate from, what’s its meaning & why did you choose it?

It’s more or less my real name. My full birth name is Katharina Juliet Sikora, so I’m just using the secondary name for my artist profile.

3) How do you define success?

Be happy and proud of everything you’re doing and keep everyone around you joyful and positive.

4) Do you have a radio show or podcast?

Yes, alongside Tube & Berger I’m hosting the Kittball Radio Show on Ibiza Global Radio and several other stations. We’re on air every Sunday from 11pm till midnight CET.

5) What is the weirdest thing a fan/groupie have asked you?

Can I order a beer and two shots.

6) Do you ever get nervous before a performance?

Closely every time I´m nervous and I´m not good in waiting ;)

7) What do you consider to have been your big break that launched your DJ career?

To produce and release “Come On Now (Set It off)” with my mates Tube & Berger on Kittball Records first, and later on FFRR.

8) Describe your music in three or four words…

Energy, house, cojones.

9) Share a few artists that have influenced your sound?

Dj Sneak, Daftpunk, Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, Etienne de Crécy/Super Discount

10) Where can your fans catch you in playing over the next few months and what is next for you?

With my production process being the way it is, there’s a lot of material upcoming and work in progress. I have a collaboration with my friend Nakadia, my boys Chemical Surf from Brazil and Berlin-based Lars Moston. I have a remix finished for Lane8 with another one out already on Kittball, which I have produced for Notize and the amazing Singer Fura. End of May, I will also finally release my very first solo EP “Larry’s Garage”. I saw it´s #1 already on Traxsource everywhere. This is totally amazing and makes me really proud!

From a touring point of view, last year was really amazing for me. I was invited to South America, India, even the Reunion Island and, of course, all over Europe. This year looks already very promising as well. Next to my solo dates we are celebrating our 10th anniversary with special Kittball Showcases and are planning a world tour for the whole year. Recently we have confirmed a summertime residency in Croatia on the beautiful Island of Hvar, where you can book a week with our Kittball crew on the Korkyralis festival in Croatia. In addition, we’re hosting stages on festivals like PollerWiesen and Juicy Beats in Dortmund where we also have a weekly rooftop party. Sonar or ADE are to be mentioned too. So a lot of crazy and amazing stuff is going on.
