Neovinyl In 5 Records

Neovinyl Recordings is a Barcelona-Berlin based label that has been spreading quality house music since 2009. Their latest release ‘I’m So Far’ is out now exclusively on Traxsource. We talked to the guys behind the imprint Baldo and Carlo and asked them which 5 significant tracks helped build & shape the reputation of the label.

1. Miguel Colmenares – Mambo Roto

This one was the very first track we ever had before the label was founded. We played and tested it for so many months before anything started with the label. This track was like the BSO of the kick off of this project. Miguel is a great friend of us and we love him.

2. Carlo – Mr. Brown

Probably the biggest hit so far of Neovinyl. Played and charted by Steve Bug, Loco Dice, Damian Lazarus, Carl Cox and many others big names, it is also the track with more remixes we released due to its popularity.

3. Sello – Lovely Files

Sello has been one of the main artists on the label; he grew up with us and ‘Lovely Files’ is the most important EP and track he has released with us. This track also had the honor of being played by Gilles Peterson.

4. Maik Yells – My Piano Teacher (Dana Ruh Remix) – Valentino Kanzyani Edit

We found this edit through RA; Valentino charted it and we asked him if we could listen to it as we were curious. One month later, we released the track as it was a bomb!

5. Black Loops – Innercity (Piek Remix)

In the last year, Black Loops have became a very important artist for us. The track of ‘Innercity’ was very hot itself and straight after we listened to it we knew Piek would do a great job on the remix. Now we can say we did the right thing. This remix is just sublime!
