
First panels and speakers announced for the Brighton Music Conference
BMC have announced their first wave of panels and spearkers for the 2017 edition of the conference. Now in its 4th year, the conference has become a staple of the dance circuit in the UK, featuring talks, panels and parties in the musical seaside hub of Brighton. This year’s event will welcome a whole host of electronic music talent including Paul Hartnoll (Orbital), High Contrast, Mark Knight, Darius Syrossian, Danny Howard (Radio 1), Prok & Fitch, Sam Divine, Josh Butler, My Nu Leng, Just Her alongside others and invites speakers from the BPI, Ministry of Sound, Sony, Deezer, Fabric, Live Nation, Defected, NTIA, Toolroom, Hospital Records, MMF, DJ Mag, AEI, Loopmasters, Insanity, Sub Club, Clintons, Crown Management, Roland, Serato, BIMM and more, ensuring this year is no exception.
The BMC Professional Conference will tackle topics including ‘What will Managment look like in 5 years’ time?’ [presented by the MMF], What’s next for electronic music? [Presented by DJ Mag], ‘How are the changing roles of streaming services and conventional radio affecting the way audiences consume dance music?’ , ‘Current trends and future threats in Music Piracy’ [presented by the BPI], ‘But it was only a “cheeky” re-edit? Copyright law and the Remix’ and much, much more.
The BMC Academy Conference is also returning for 2017 and will host panels and workshops including: Writing and Producing to a brief, ghost writing – What’s it all about, where are the lines crossed?, can managment enhance your career in electronic music? and the usual Tollroom Records Q&A.
