My Miami 2017 Vol.3: Dj Chus, Dj Spen, Oscar G, Demuir, Saeed Younan

Who’s ready to join us for some fun in the sun? Ahead of Miami Music Week this year we caught up with a bunch of our good friends and artists to talk their favourite places to have a boogie, classic Miami tracks, where you can catch them spinning this year and what they love about Miami! In Volume three, we asked Dj Chus, Dj Spen, Oscar G, Demuir, Saeed Younan to dish the dirt..




Dj Spen

1. Where are you flying in from and are you ready for the madness?

Flying from home this time and I am truly looking forward to some South Beach Foolishness!!!


2. Where do you like to eat when you’re here, any favourite spots?

Joe’s Stone Crab!!!! I could do that place 5 nights straight!


3. What’s the best venue(s) in Miami, where do you like to throw down some moves?

I like Yuca.


4. Where can we catch you playing during Miami and who are you looking forward to seeing?

I’m the guest at the Def Mix party @ Yuca on Wednesday nite this year. As far as what I’m looking forward to, the Shelter party which is always good.


5. What’s your favourite thing about Miami?

I like the fact that dub ring WMC I can catch up to some dudes in the business that I don’t get to see often. It’s kinda like a family reunion in a weird way.


6. What’s your favourite classic miami track and what tracks do you predict are gonna be big in Miami this year!?

My favorite Miami track of all time is probably “Rescue Me” by the Sunkids…the MAW remix. I don’t Remember the year, but I cannot remember having a better time at WMC. As far as what’s gonna be the one this year, I have no clue. There’s too many to pick from. It’ll be exciting to see what stands out.





Dj Chus

1. Where are you flying in from and are you ready for the madness?

Madrid in Spain is my home town and of course, im more than ready for Miami madness!!!


2. Where do you like to eat when you’re here, any favourite spots?

I love Juice & Java in Miami Beach, a vegan spot for healthy people!


3. What’s the best venue(s) in Miami, where do you like to throw down some moves?

Heart Night Club!


4. Where can we catch you playing during Miami and who are you looking forward to seeing?

We have 4 Stereo and C&C shows this week, Tree House on Tuesday Night, Boat Party on Thursday evening, Pool Party at the Raleigh Friday Day and Heart Night Club on Saturday Night.


5. What’s your favourite thing about Miami?

People, weather and Party Spirit!


6. What’s your favourite classic miami track and what tracks do you predict are gonna be big in Miami this year!?

Ninetoes ‘Finder’ its an all times Miami classic, its hard to predict what track is going to be huge this year but Detlef ‘Swagon’ is one of the most solid candidates.





Oscar G

1. Where are you flying in from and are you ready for the madness?

Born and raised in the 305. All madness, all the time.


2. Where do you like to eat when you’re here, any favourite spots?

Eating House, Commonwealth, Mambo Cafe


3. What’s the best venue(s) in Miami, where do you like to throw down some moves?

Coyo Taco, Heart Nightclub.


4. Where can we catch you playing during Miami and who are you looking forward to seeing?

3/18: Made in Miami Pool Party National Hotel, 3/20: Murk 25yr Anniversary Coyo Taco, 3/25: Get Wet Pool Party The Raleigh Hotel. 3/26: Nervous River Party River Yacht Club


5. What’s your favourite thing about Miami?

It’s home.


6. What’s your favourite classic miami track and what tracks do you predict are gonna be big in Miami this year!?

“Although I’m pretty sure this is not the answer you’re looking for, it’s the answer I have to give as a native.. Debbie Deb “When I Hear Music” (or anything produced by Pretty Tony Butler) because that is truly classic Miami.. as for what will be big this year, I’m hoping the new stuff on my ‘Made in Miami’ label!”





Demuir

1. Where are you flying in from and are you ready for the madness?

Toronto, Canada. I’m looking forward to the great weather, beats, and scenery!


2. Where do you like to eat when you’re here, any favourite spots?

Whenever I come to Miami, I love to indulge in the authentic Cuban food. Especially taking some sips of colada coffee. There’s nothing like it!


3. What’s the best venue(s) in Miami, where do you like to throw down some moves?

I’m going to be all over the place, but Biscayne Lady and Coyo Taco will be bumpin.


4. Where can we catch you playing during Miami and who are you looking forward to seeing?

I’ll be at Coyo Taco Thursday, March 23 and I can’t wait to do it up with Cassy, DJ Sneak, Doc Martin, Jesse Perez, and Oscar G. Should be a ton of fun!


5. What’s your favourite thing about Miami?

I love Miami for the weather and it’s cultural diversity.


6. What’s your favourite classic miami track and what tracks do you predict are gonna be big in Miami this year!?

Sneak and I will be rinsing a Latin infused track with heavy Afro drums called, “One For The Muchachos”, that we collaborated on and signed to Oscar G’s Made In Miami label. It should be a good one.





Saeed Younan

1. Where are you flying in from and are you ready for the madness?

From a gig in Ottawa, Canada to D.C and from DC to Miami. Yes, ready for the madness with an extra iPhone charger.


2. Where do you like to eat when you’re here, any favourite spots?

La Sandwicherie, the perfect spot for a quick bite.


3. What’s the best venue(s) in Miami, where do you like to throw down some moves?

Heart & Space. Mainly for the sound system and the after hours vibe.


4. Where can we catch you playing during Miami and who are you looking forward to seeing?

March 23: In The Loop Epic Pool. March 24: Ultra w/Carl Cox & Friends The MegaStructor. March 25: My Saeed Younan & Friends Free-All-Day Party. 2-10pm Clevelander Hotel C-Level Rooftop. March 26: (After hours / Sunday morning) Transmit Records @ Heart Nightclub.


5. What’s your favourite thing about Miami?

I have a lot of friends, including my management team and label manager all live in Miami. I look forward to seeing them and kickin it old-school style.


6. What’s your favourite classic miami track and what tracks do you predict are gonna be big in Miami this year!?

Funky Green Dogs “Fired Up”. We have lots of talented new artist just signed tracks on our “Join The Tribe Miami 2017 compilation. I think most of them will make some noise during Miami music week.
