In Volume three, we asked Soul Clap, Harry Romero, David Morales, Diephuis, Joeski to dish the dirt..

Soul Clap

1. Where are you flying in from and are you ready for the madness?

This year we’ll be touching down fresh from the SXM Festival in Saint. Martin island in the beautiful west indies! Yes we are very ready for the madness, as always. Can you believe we’ve been going to WMC since 2001/2?

2. Where do you like to eat when you’re here, any favourite spots?

We LOVE Coyo Taco, thats a MUST for us when we’re in town. Other dope joints are Zak The Baker, Jugo Fresh and we’ll give almost any food truck round up a chance!

3. What’s the best venue(s) in Miami, where do you like to throw down some moves?

The Electric Pickle Co. MANNN! That’s been our home for almost a decade now. Big up to Will, Tomas and the whole team over there.

4. Where can we catch you playing during Miami and who are you looking forward to seeing?

Whewwww, you ready? Tuesday March 21st Doorly has invited us to get down with him and friends at the One Hotel. Wednesday March 22nd we join Martin Buttrich to celebrate his “Collaborator” album release party at Trade. Thursday March 23rd its our 6th annual FUCKING CATALINA WINE MIXER at the Soho Beach House and this year our big guest is none other than Josh Wink! Friday we got the night off (thank heavens). Then Saturday is a double header; we play around 2pm at Get Lost and then join Nick Monaco for a pool party at the Freehand Hotel. Then finally on Sunday the House Of EFUNK returns to the Electric Pickle for a real marathon of music with 30+ DJs. Headlining with us will be Kenny Dope and DaM “motha funkin” FunK! We gotta admit those two are the ones we’re really excited to see.

5. What’s your favourite thing about Miami?

Its an equal tie between the precious weather and all our incredible friends we’ve made over the years.

6. What’s your favourite classic Miami track and what tracks do you predict are gonna be big in Miami this year!?

Classic Miami track??? Wow there are so many… but at the moment we can think of two: The moment Mr V unveiled “Da Bump” at the Vega Records party at Nikki Beach and then the moment that M.A.N.D.Y. dropped The Sun Can’t Compare (it was the first time we’d heard it) for the Get Physical party at Studio A. Hard to predict what the big jams will be this year, but at least one of them is almost guaranteed to have an AFRO feel.

Harry Romero

1. Where are you flying in from and are you ready for the madness?

I’m coming in from good ol’ New Jersey and I was born ready for the madness.

2. Where do you like to eat when you’re here, any favourite spots?

Man so many Great places to wine and dine but usually I like to keep it simple and eat at one of my favorite spots called Puerto Sagua. It’s nothing fancy just great home cooked Cuban dishes Deeelish!!!

3. What’s the best venue(s) in Miami, where do you like to throw down some moves?

Definitely can’t just pick one spot. It’s all about the music and the people. This year I’m doing a couple shows at the Epic Hotel Pool and at the National Hotel as well. So, those 2 places you will see me throwing down some Moves!

4. Where can we catch you playing during Miami and who are you looking forward to seeing?

Coyo Taco, Epic hotel, One hotel, The Cleveland, and a host of others. check my Social Media for details. I look forward to catching up with old friends and deaf making some new ones. always great fun in the sun.

5. What’s your favourite thing about Miami?

The frickin’ weather! Living up north by March I’m done with the gloom of winter and every year I look forward to Going to Miami to get some much needed sun.

6. What’s your favourite classic Miami track and what tracks do you predict are gonna be big in Miami this year!?

My favorite classic Miami track is Cevin Fisher’s ‘check the bells’. I will never forget the crowd reaction when Tony Humphries dropped that at the Magic Sessions party at club Liquid back in the day. As far as predicting what will be big is a tough one. Do they still do that? Is there still a conference track? LOL! I’m going out on a limb here and will say I will be pushing My label Bambossa hard this year in Miami. new tracks on my label like ‘From the Root’, ‘Poison’, and ‘Drop Killa’ are sure to set shit off this year in the 305.

5. What’s your favourite thing about Miami?

The weather, the energy and the food.

6. What’s your favourite classic Miami track and what tracks do you predict are gonna be big in Miami this year!?

Hmmmm that’s a tough one to answer. There’s been so many in the last 30 years. It’s very difficult to predict any big tracks bc there’s so many parties and almost every DJ is showcasing their own new tracks. It’s an over saturation. It was nice in the old days when you received promo vinyl or CD’s.
