Ovum Recordings is hoping to push Team Blue to victory.

BIG HEARTS FOR BIG DOGS is a non-profit advocacy organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes larger dogs. Since smaller dogs are adopted faster and rescued more often, Big Hearts for Big Dogs saw a desperate need for advocates of larger breed dogs. The organization has a special interest in Pit Bulls and Pit Bull type dogs, as they are the most neglected and misunderstood breeds. Big Hearts
for Big Dogs aims to change public perception, educate the community, and spread awareness about the breed.

The RBC will host a charity basketball game to include Electronic Dance Music’s top DJs and music producers. In its first year, the RBC has chosen to fundraise for Big Hearts for Big Dogs Rescue and Advocacy, a Dade County organization aimed to offer new hope and new beginnings for big dogs all over South Florida.

The RBC is the brainchild of M A N I K, a New York City based music producer and DJ. Recently mentioned in VIBE PRESENTS: 30 DJs to Watch in 2013, his notable festival and club plays range from Tommorland (Belgium), Fabric (London), Space (Ibiza), Decibel (Seattle), Mansion (Miami) and Module (Tokyo). M A N I K, a WMC regular, encouraged his fellow musicians to leave the turntables behind, and take their skills to the basketball court.

“About a year ago I realized I wanted to encompass my love for dogs, basketball and music into one amazing fundraiser. I knew Miami Beach was the best place to host this event because each year they graciously, and seamlessly, host the WMC. This year was the perfect time to put everything into motion,” said M A N I K.
