Traxsource Presents New Music Tuesday (June 25th, 2013)
Traxsource presents The 12 hottest releases of the week, right here with New Music Tuesday June 25th, 2013.
Whats Hot This Week
1. Lonely Boy – When I Think About (Winding Road)
Winding Road is back, with another typically charmed EP packed with lovely deep house music!! We can’t say too much about who Lonely Boy is, except that he’s from L.A and has probably had loads of plastic surgery. He’s released loads of stuff before, but is keeping undercover with this new trendy name. Oooh secret producers, oooooh. All we need to know is that this EP is bloody excellent, dead classy house music. Another welcome dose of Winding Road’s bouncy musical brilliance
2. Joey Negro pres. Mistura feat Kendra Cash – Smile (Shur-i-kan Remixes) – When I Think About (Z Records)
The Original Joey Negro mix of “Smile” was one of the biggest sellers for ZR in 2012, reaching the number 1 spot on Traxsource and hanging around the top 100 for most of the year. Now Kendra Cash’s vocal anthem returns with with some deeper electronic reworks courtesy of Shur-i-Kan
No point detailing every mix, have a listen and hear for yourself……he’s done a great job.
This is the music!!!
3. Mike Newman, Gussy, Yves Eaux – Take Off (Blockhead)
Mike Newman has graced the Blockhead Recordings team with another stellar release. Mike is a beat making machine by himself but he has joined forces with another up and coming house superstar in Gussy for the title track “Take Off.” Take Off is a straight up good time, groovy house track that seems to keep getting funkier and smoother as the track progresses. Play this track and you will guarantee to get everyone dancing.
Mike has also teamed up with yet another extremely talented producer in Yves Euax for “Move Ya.” Move Ya is on the techy side of the house spectrum but we wouldn’t go as far as to call it tech house. Move Ya has a very cheeky vocal sample running through it but the overall groove and synth is whats going to get the dancefloor movin!
4. Wez Saunders feat Sherii Ven Dyer – Fire (Freeze Dried)
Written by Saunders / Ven Dyer. Produced by Wez Saunders. Vocals by Sherii Ven Dyer
Additional production & remix by Grant Nelson
5. Tony Momrelle – What You Waitin For (Produced By Reel People) (Reel People Music)
TONY MOMRELLE has one of the voices that always guarantees to bring a smile to your face.
TONY has been delivering his gift to arenas and dance floors all over the world as a Solo artist and also as an integral member of musical legend SADEs touring band, UK Jazz Funk institution INCOGNITO and of course lead vocalist with our very own REEL PEOPLE. WHAT YOU WAITIN FOR is the new single, a feel good song with an infectious chorus that will you have you singing along in no time.
6. Simian Mobile Disco & Bicep – Sacrifice (Delicacies)
7. Kerri Chandler – Hallelujah (incl. Demarkus Lewis, Robosonic, Mihalis Safras, J.Barnum, Supernova Remixes) (King Street)
Well, there can only be one Kerri Chandler, however, whoever said there could be only one “Hallelujah”? King Street is happy to gather some of the world’s best DJ/Producers to pay homage to this house music anthem! Demarkus Lewis begins with his funky “Extended Praise Mix” and deep “Heavy Foot Dub”. Berlin superstar duo Robosonic drop the groove with their deep and inventive remix. Mihalis Safras follows with a relentless groovy dance floor destructor sure to be a hit. You may as well call J. Barnum a sample master after hearing his funky sample driven remix. Supernova delivers again with a bass line driven tech house monster of a remix. Finally, the man himself, Kerri Chandler, drops two of his own remixes to finish off the deal. This EP will have any dance music lover screaming Hallelujah!
8. Boogie Rapture – Root Behaviour 2 (Luvbug)
Luvbug is back to present part 2 of its popular Root Behaviour EP series featuring two expert new cuts from Boogie Rapture. ‘On Fire’ is a sun drenched 118 modern house burner ripe for the picking and is partnered here with ‘Cruising the Berg’ a deep dirty vogue driven shuffler with a heavy spirited nod to the underground spirit of Berlin.
9. Jamie Lewis – Step Up (Purple Music)
The Purple Music team are Happy and Proud to announce after 9 years that Michelle Weeks & Jamie Lewis came together for new song to share with all of you and the world “STEP UP” because the message is clear!
10. JP Chronic, Jack Steinel – Do You Know Jack EP (Lapsus Music)
Really happy to welcome on the label Mr JP Chronic. The Ibiza based dj and producer is doing great latelely with his productions and label imprint Chronivision. This cool guy has served us a supa dupa groovy EP full of deep and oldschool dark vibes, alongside his friend Jack Steinel.
Make sure you don’t miss this one!
11. Shaun Escoffery – Days Like This (The Spen and Karizma Files) (Quantize Recordings)
Next up on Quantize a very special remix package of a truly great song from Shaun Escoffrey.
Originally release in 2002, ‘Days Like This’ was Escoffery’s second single and went on to cement his place as one of most exciting British artists to emerge in Soulful House. Having been a fan since first hearing Escoffreys soulful tones, DJ Spen and long-time studio partner Karizma’s ‘Main Mix’ featured on the original single release and went on to become a firm favourite for many. Fast forward ten years and Spen and Karizma are back with this timely rework. In the hands of seasoned vets, homage is paid in all areas and Spen and Karizma’s filter disco fuelled ‘Deepah Dub Re Rub’ mix packs an infectious punch, destined to bring smiles to many a dance floor this summer. As the title indicates Spen and Karizma’s ‘Retouch’ does just that adding a smattering of up-tempo brilliance to their original remix.
12. Robosonic & Adana Twins – La Fique Ep (2DIY4)
For years Robosonic have been building a reputation as DJs for murdering dancefloors worldwide – not only playing what they really feel, but also performing their own multidimensional electronic music. Together with the Adana Twins from Hamburg they made a hot new EP on 2DIY4. The first track is made up of melodic disco and funk inspired tunes and easy basslines which immediately bring you to the vibe of summer. The lovely Vocal adds further feelings of recklessness and freedom which will immediately get you to dance. The second track „Barracuda“ takes a darker approach with it’s dirty bassline, still combining disco infected vocals and elements in style. It is like turning back time right into the discodancefloor of the 70’s!
