Whats Hot This Week

1. Claes Rosen – Daydreaming / Wonderful (Local Talk)

From the very first second we heard this demo from Stockholm based producer Claes Rosén (1/2 of dubstep duo L-Wiz) we knew this would be one of our fave releases on Local Talk. Seriously, its a real beauty! With a slight r&b touch, melodic chords and UK house rhythms both tracks have that perfect contrast of soulful deepness and an uplifting feel. On the a-side Daydreaming is a club friendly track with a bumpy house rhythm and smart r&b samples…the perfect summer tune! The b-side with Wonderful is exactly what is says it is…wonderful! Its simply deep soulful house at its very best.Every label needs a strong summer release and we’re pretty sure we found ours for this summer. 2. Various Artists – Luv In Three-D (Luvbug)

‘Luv in 3D’ is a new compilation series on Luvbug. Opening up with a fresh exclusive title ‘Burn’ by Nathan G which is surrounded by a quality angle to some of the label’s deep and respected cuts that shape shift the vintage spirit into fun and modern house music expressions.

3. Paolo Barbato feat Mr. Maph – Get Up Everybody (Mjuzieek Digital)

After Paolo’s great Remix for Franco Moiraghi’s track “Feel My Body 2013” on our Conkrete Digital label, he now hits back with his first solo release on Mjuzieek Digital…

And what a track that is! He was digging deep in his record boxes and got out an all time house classic from Byron Stingley, that we all know and love only too good!

Get Up Everybody was first released more then 17 years ago, and now has been completely redone by Paolo himself and the amazing vocal talents of Mr. Maph and his wife Simone Lisa, who resang the original to perfection.

Take that and add another slammin’ remix by Pray for More, who’s adding a funkier workout to his mix, to the already massive, deeper Original mix by Paolo and what you have is a MONSTER of a track! Mark my words! :-)

Not much more to be said, except the usual: LISTEN, DONWLOAD and PLAY IT OUT LOUD in the clubs and your radio shows!

4. Pitto – You (DFTD)

Impressive rising star Pitto joins the ranks of the continuously exciting DFTD producers in what appears to be an extremely promising summer for the Defected Records sister imprint.
The Dutch producer initially turned heads with breakthrough releases such as ‘Sexvibe’ and ‘Feelin’ which contributed to him earning two dance music prizes at De Grote Prijs awards in the Netherlands. He has been on fire ever since and released a debut album ‘Objects In A Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear’ where he worked with various talented musicians and vocalists to create a bona fide portrayal of his experimental and creative outlook on the house music genre.
His brand new single ‘You’ greatly reaffirms Pitto’s calibre and unique approach to his productions boasting tremendous character and a manner which can already so easily be associated to the Dutch producers creations. Driven by a booming kick drum also joined by lively chords and bursts of his own charismatic vocal samples, ‘You’ is a track befitting to both beach bars and super clubs alike.

For house music this is the year where mixing the old with the new is at the height of clubland admiration. The 90’s house revival combined with modern bass-heavy sounds has come together in blissful fruition with this collaboration from two of house music’s most influential names, Rui Da Silva (Touch Me BMG, So Get Up, Tribal US) & Robert Owens (Tears FFRR, Ill Be Your Friend Def Mix).
