Whats Hot This Week

1. Circle Of Funk, Robert Owens – Invisible (Slapped Up Soul)

SLAPPED UP SOUL’s last release IN LOVE which featured CIRCLE OF FUNK & LIFFORD received great feedback from the likes of VINNI DI VINCI, JOSH MILAN, ANDY WARD, TRINIDADIAN DEEP, GLEN THORNTON, MARQUES WYATT, E MAN & many more. This next release is packed, loaded & ready to go. It’s the 12 release on the label & comes from a group who are no strangers in the SUS camp but this time CIRCLE OF FUNK have teamed up with one of the most famous male voices in the house scene which happens to be the legendary ROBERT OWENS to bring you INVISIBLE. The original mix is a deep groove with melodic melodies & an infectious Bass line which rides nicely through out the track, Sprinkled with the heart felt vocals & spoken word from ROBERT himself. Be sure not to miss FLEX’S GARAGE MIX as this is a bumpy groove which will certainly get you shakin your ass on the dance floor, Think TODD EDWARDS & you’ve got the idea. Robert is most known for his worldwide smash on the track TEARS which featured with FRANKIE KNUCKLES & SATOSHI TOMIIE back in 1989 & also was a part of the FINGERS INC. crew which featured RON WILSON & LARRY HEARD.
INVISIBLE!!!!!

2. DJ Pierre, Felicia – Come Together (Incl. Supernova 2013 Remix) (Lapsus Music)

We are ready to drop out one of the most important release of the label this year finally! Happy to welcome on the family the acid house icon producer Dj Pierre with this remix from label owners Supernova of his success Come Together. This remix takes a deeper turn from the original focusing on the spoken word track. ‘Come Together’ incorporates a hypnotic funky bass line, a pumping deep house beat and atmospheric percussive samples to produce a fresh new take on the original classic from DJ Pierre. Supernova are currently working on their third studio album and a Best Of compilation which marks their 10th anniversary in the music scene to be released on Lapsus Music. This new remix is a taster of whats to come from the prolific and talented Italian duo. Produced by DJ Pierre for Chilltown Entertainment.

4. Tony Momrelle – Fly (Incl. Reel People Remixes) (Reel People Music)

Tony Momrelle, one of the UKs most significant and exciting soulful singer songwriters, is back with a euphoric new single delivering the message, loud and colourfully clear, that this, entirely, is his time. Fly is Momrelle and Momrelle alone. Where oft before the artist has aligned his incredible talents to the interests of others, here he cuts through with his own personal agenda built upon the funky cut n thrust of snappy breakbeats and a soaring promise of love and life without bounds. Its a soulful sonic boom. Reel Peoples bonus deep soul house remix is also included, which blends layers of lush synths and pads to sweet 4-4 drums for an ultra-tasteful house alternative.

5. Nathan G – Re-Connect (Luvbug)

Exclusive New Nathan G Production entitled ‘Re-Connect’ on Luvbug.

6. Manjit – No Way Back (Underground Mjuzieek Digital)

Manjit keeps on surprising us every time we get a new track by him! He constantly delivers quality and never stucks to one genre… no matter Disco, House or now his reinterpretation of a true Houseclassic, NO WAY BACK by Adonis. And damn, he’s done a great job on this, completely replaying everything from the Original, re-recording the vocals and giving it all a 2013 touch. Here we have the updated Club Mix, aiming for the 2013 flavour, while the Retro Mix does exactly what it says, staying closer to the Original vibe! Both hot, neverthless! Great second release for the new label, perfectly defining the sound.

9. Jimpster – Porchlight & Rockingchairs Remixes Part One (Freerange)

In March of this year we saw Jimpster’s Porchlight And Rocking Chairs LP fall on expectant and eager ears, winning praise from the likes of RA, DJ Mag and Groove as well as plays and support from a host of the worlds best radio and club DJ’s. With the majority of the LP being more home listening than club-focused we decided to call in some of our favorite producers to rework a track of their choice for the dance-floors and here we present you the first part of the amazing results. KiNK needs little introduction of course, except to say that his live set as well as his hands on hardware approach in the studio has seen him become established as one of the most exciting producers of the last couple of years. When he agreed to remix Porchlight And Rocking Chairs (a track he incidentally referred to as his favorite of the year!) we couldn’t have been happier and knew that something very special would come from it. When he got in touch to say he’d done a version but explained it was done live in one take with all the parts being tweaked in real time making it very hard to change anything we were even more intrigued and excited. As expected, what he delivered is an intense, high energy reworking full of piercing high’s and rattling lows, keeping the original chords and many of the keyboard lines in place but injecting a raw drive and improvised feel which has already seen it become a highlight of Jimpster sets this summer. Andre Lodemann provides the perfect antidote to KiNK’s frenetic version in the form of his Towards The Seer Remix, going for a tight, emotive, late night groove which develops slowly, teasing out the arrangement and keeping things sublime and understated. Subtle bass twists and dubbed out FX build to the extended break where we’re introduced to the original’s acoustic bass riff in all it’s glory. Another brilliant Andre Lodemann production. Looking forward to hearing your feedback on this and if you’re good people and provide us with a little comment other than ‘support!’ you can expect to be hearing the Deetron and Tanner Ross remixes coming your way very soon!

10. Gilbert Le Funk – Something (La Musique Fantastique)

2013, La Musique Fantastique. All rights reserved. ‘Something’ written & produced by Gilbert Le Funk La Musique Fantastique Studio 1, Madrid. / Licensing: infolamusiquefantastique.com / www.facebook.com/gilbertlefunk – www.soundcloud.com/gilbertlefunk

11. Full Intention – Octavia/SEM (Full Intention Records)

Full Intention are back with their latest release. Known for being deep house connoisseurs the duo are true to form with Octavia/SEM. Kicking off with Octavia, the track provides a rhythm lead, four to the floor experience. Complete with subtle synths reminiscent of Kraftwerk if they had spent less time driving and more time chilling, Octavia then leads coolly intoSEM, a different beast altogether. Where pauses were strategically placed in the previous track, they have made way to an urgency culminating in a vocal hints, stabs and a bass lead drenched in fuzz. A sign of things to come, the tail end of 2013 is set to be a busy one for the boys

12. Ray MD – Old School In Tha Hous) (Nervous)
