2. Dirtytwo – The Baryard EP (Local Talk)

The follow-up to the previous EPs Moody & Trapped is nothing short of brilliant. Waisted with it’s plucked strings is classic deep house held together by a bumpy groove, soulful vocals, slick keyboard but still maintaining the formula that defines Dirtytwo and their finest work to date. Talking 2 U is where Dirtytwo gets deep down and gritty. Chunky house chords, a meaty bassline, cut-up voice samples in full basement effect. Flip over for the Hard On Edit of Talking 2 U which goes one step further adding some acid lines and a raw basement feeling.
