Traxsource Presents New Music Tuesday (December 31st, 2013)

We kick of procedings with the #1 selection. Husky dishes out a cool vocal offering via his Bobbin Head Music. Definately deserves it’s place at the top.

Whats Hot This Week

1. Husky – If We Only Had Tonight (Bobbin Head Music)

Husky adds to his repertoire of styles with this funky disco infused track. “If We Only Had Tonight” uses his vocals, a rocking vocoder, funk/synth parts with a nasty bass groove. The perfect summer jam.

On the remix is Discopolis record label front man, Carl Hanaghan. Best known for his work as a Hed Kandi ambassador in the UK, Carl has forged a club ready version of the track for him (and you!) to smash as he tours the world spreading the house vibe.

Written from the heart and for the heart, everyone can relate to holding that special someone for just 1 more night. If we only had tonight…

Nine lives – All This Love (Original Mix)
The Nine Lives latest is all about feel good music. Made up of warm keys and funky synth rhythms, it sits on a bass line with some serious groove. Add the irresistible vocal packed with soul and emotion, “All this love” contains all the potential for a future classic.

Future Feelings Remix
The very talented future feelings, firmly put their own stamp on “All this love”, with the mix aimed at the club dance floor. It’s a spaced out, atmospheric groove with chopped up vocals, rising chord stabs and a fat bass line to boot.

Drop Out Orchestra Remix
Famed for their stand out, disco tinged remixes, the Swedish duo don’t disappoint with their take on “All this love”. Inventively playing around with the original sounds, DOO add some extra disco goodness and their signature live bass sound to give it that unique groove they’ve mastered over the years.

Get Down Edits All This Dub Remix
Masters of the edit and known the world over for their DJ talents, Get Down Edits deliver a super cool, stripped back version of the original. Teasing us with the vocal, the groove just keeps on going. Stretched out to a glorious 7 mins, we suggest you just sit back, and hit repeat.

6. Savio De Simone – Solara (NULU ELECTRONIC)

7. Nic James – Want Me Around (State Records)

8. Mirko & Meex – Duck EP (incl. Gramophonedzie remix) (Disko Zoo Records)

‘‘Your Love’‘ is another infectious disko groove from Mirko & Meex

‘‘Not your love’‘ is Gramophonedzie view on ‘‘Your Love’‘ track in his old sound wanna be remix. G-man brings dirty and fuzzy beats to make this package complete.

9. Sinan Kaya – Clap Your Hands (Back to the Future)

After 13 consecutive releases, Back To You’s sister label Back To the Future (BTTF) is back with an unparalleled 14th release to add to the catalogue of up-to-date music. The theme set from EP to EP remains clearly untouched, with the challenges to embrace new music being at the forefront of the relatively young label’s vision. And this all being showcased with their next 5 track release, ‘Clap Your Hands’ by Sinan Kaya. Istanbul born Sinan Kaya soon makes it clear with the first sound of the main track, why this EP has its name. Is it coincidence that the moody start of the track entitled ‘chain’ unravels its tone into what can only be described as a head bopping, foot tapping, hand-clapping beat? 1 minute in and the nature of the record soon becomes apparent, with a pumping sound with subtle yet focal vocals throughout keeping you in the mood to party. The next track, following from the EP title, is called ‘Clap Your Hands’. Showing us his versatility, Kaya demonstrates a mellower sound with a slower tempo but yet the driving nature of his music remains untouched. A track offering an ever-loved sound to its audience. Nottingham based Romulus Schwarz brings forward the next track on the EP. Another remix to add to the Clap Your Hands saga, this track is initiated in the melody seen in its original. With the driving beat and claps penetrating though, this provides an all round paceier feel until, and after, its original breakdown half way through. A track for any time of the evening. The fourth on the Ep is TRPLBee’s mix of Clap You Hands. This mellow tone conquers through the track to create an extremely deep, dizzy sound. With its delusional vocals entwined in its melody, this is a track to get lost to in the sunset. Finally, we end with Sinan Kaya’s original, ‘Universal Love’. Reaching through the spectrum of sound, Universal Love brings to us a natural and satisfying sound in its melody, with an underlying low that seems to carry the beat behind the scenes. About halfway in, and you have the sax that adds the love! Another one for the beach side! Creating a bit of a stir, BTTF is back on form with its latest edition to the collection. With their on-going quest for new music, they seem to have captured yet another producer with a bright future ahead.
