Gianni Bini - 5 Trax That Changed My Life

Gianni Bini started spinning in the late eighties all over Italy before turning his hand to recording and music production in 1990. By shear chance, he crossed paths with another likeminded fellow by the name of Fulvio Perniola and the Fathers of Sound was born. After grabbing the Italian dance scene by the horns, Fathers of Sound attracted the attention of such UK luminaries as Sasha, John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Pete Tong and Danny Rampling and thus, the entry into the UK and worldwide scene was complete..

1) Nu Colours – Desire (Masters At Work Dub3)

This is the track with Live Bass that made me understand that there was even space for live instruments in House music and since then I’ve been searching for musicians to collaborate with.

2) Black Magic – Freedom (Make It Funky)

One of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard in the clubs, it matches my soul taste to the house groove. A brilliant bond that today hasn’t been reached yet.

3) River Ocean feat India, – Love & Happiness (Yemaya Y Ochun)

This is India’s best vocal performance in my opinion. The best for all those that will, like me, esteem MAW always and forever.

4) Ann Nesby – Can I Get A Witness (Mousse T’s 2000 Mix)

With this track I understood that Mousse T wasn’t just a meteor in the Jungle of House Music. With this gem my concept of “the stronger the groove the better” changed.

5) Deep Dish Presents Prana – The Dream (Sharam’s Deep Dish Dreamscape)

Full respect to Deep Dish (who i hope to me one day). This more than any others is a track where they coordinated musical sensibility to their brilliant shuffle rhythms. Only they know how to do it.
