To many, NYC’s ‘Underground Network’ wed night party at the Sound Factory Bar with Louie Vega & Barbra Tucker was THE industry event to be at. Some would even say it was their Paradise Garage, and Louie was their Larry. There is no doubt this party was pivotal in so many house music careers and helped people forge great relationships. The UN Party was a literal who’s who of the NYC industry at that time!

Our Label Spotlight this week focuses on UK based independent label- DM.Recordings. The label established in 2011 & run by DJ and producer D-Malice has only one motive, “To provide an outlet for the world to experience the best electronic sounds with great influence from the Motherland.” Known for focusing on the upcoming Afro House talents, DM.Recordings have put out nothing but timeless music that has even caught the attention of one of the genre’s greatest- Black Coffee. Label Layer 909 run by one of the UK’s biggest and fastest rising Techno artists, Phutek, has started to catch the attention of artists like Carl Cox, and Adam Beyer among others. This is attributed to the label’s “No nonsense driving Techno” motto, strong grooves, melodic vibes, and peak time energy.
