The Tech House scene remained strong as ever in 2018. Tech House will always have its lovers and haters but it can’t be argued that its widespread global popularity has fueled an entirely new generation of dance music fans and DJs alike.

Whilst its popularity birthed a new generation of superstar DJs and peak time anthems (think Fisher, Solardo and Camelphat), we also felt the resurgence of Minimal creep back into the underground as many Tech producers searched for something to give them a raw underground edge and make their tracks stand out from one of the busiest genres. Tech producers began to add funky guitar melodies and dip their toes into the disco house sound whilst others softened their bass drums to explore deeper dubbed out rhythms or even dug out their 303s and added to the acid resurgence.

This year’s list represents the global influence of the genre, and with the artists hailing from the USA, Spain, the UK, Australia, the Netherlands and beyond, never has the ubiquitous nature of the genre been more apparent. Our 2017 list features recognized leaders of the scene alongside unstoppable new talent, so familiarise yourself with the artists shaping the face of Tech in 2018 and beyond.

Here then, are the Traxsource Top 100 Tech House Artists of 2017.

Chris Mackay, resident Traxsource Tech House troublemaker is back in the mix today for the first hour, spinning new and exclusive cuts from the likes of Martin Buttrich, The Martinez Brothers, Burnski, D’Julz and Juliche Hernandez. This week he’s recruited Pura Music label owner, Roberto Palmero [Noir Music / Material / Moda Black / Safe / Lapsus] to provide the bangers for hour no2, featuring numerous of his own previously released and forthcoming tunes.

Since 2013, Criminal Hype have made it their mission to unearth some of the hottest House gems. Their impressive roster features lots of fresh local British talent including breakthrough artists Louie Anderson and Tuff London through to scene favourite Rich Wakley and Hot Creations Alumni; Pete Dorling and Jey Kurmis. International Tech House stars like Raffa FL and Piem have also made an appearance on the imprint and it’s safe to say that, with time, the label will only be getting bigger and better!
